Dear Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake Community:
As we gear up for the Spring 2026 BHBL Girls Softball season, we are looking for volunteers to help make this season a success for our players. Our program thrives because of the amazing community members who step up—and we’d love for you to be one of them!
Whether you’ve coached for years or have never coached before, we encourage you to get involved. You do NOT need prior experience—we will support and train you every step of the way!
Volunteer Opportunities Available
Head Coaches
- Lead team practices and games
- Teach softball fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Communicate with players, parents, and league coordinators
- Create a fun, positive, and safe environment for learning
Assistant Coaches
- Support the Head Coach during practices and games
- Help with drills, skill development, and player encouragement
- Step in when the Head Coach is unavailable
Parent Volunteer
- Assist during practices and games (no pressure!)
- Help with drills, equipment, dugout organization, and encouragement
- Assist with fundraising efforts
- Help make the season fun and memorable
Training Provided — No Experience Needed!
All Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches will receive FREE training from Upstate Premier Sports prior to the season. This training is designed to:
- Build confidence for new coaches
- Review age-appropriate drills and skills
- Help ensure a consistent, positive experience for our players
If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t know enough to coach”—this training is for you! We truly welcome first-time coaches and will make sure you’re supported.
